Official School Accreditation

There are a host of accreditation bodies that exist to ensure a standard of quality is provided by language schools. Only the associations below provide the certification that AILS acknowledges when selecting partner schools.

ACCET

(The Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training). Schools accredited by the ACCET are among the best in the United States. The organization is highly respected due to its rigorous inspection of member institutions to ensure they meet and maintain the high standards it requires. more info...

(International Association of Language Centres). This association represents more than sixty language schools around the world. All are regularly inspected and meet the high quality standards that the IALC requires. more info...

English UK

Schools eligible for selection by English UK must be recognized by the British Council. In addition to this, they must pass a rigorous selection process that ensures the following:

  • A high standard of teaching
  • Qualified teachers
  • Tailored teaching style
  • A rigorous host family selection process
  • A Culturally diverse student body

(Southern Africa Tourism Services Association). This not-for-profit association representing the private sector that aims to maintain a high quality standard in the South African tourism industry. It holds that its members key assets are credibility, integrity and stability. more info...

CEELE

(Calidad en la Enseñanza del Español como langua Extranjera). CEELE is a splinter association from the University of Alcala that was established to assist in providing a benchmark of quality for language schools in Spain. more info...

FIYTO

(Federation of International Youth Travel Organizations). The FIYTO is the largest and most influential organization in the Youth Travel industry. Over 50 years of exisitance, it has seen more that 350 members in 60 countries adhere to its philosophy. As of 2006, the FIYTO has merged with the International Student Travel Confederation to form the World Youth Student & Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation. more info...

ALTO

(Association of Language Travel Organizations). ALTO is a premium forum joining eminent language travel agents, schools, and national associations with the hope of creating one global community. CRELS New Zealand

The New Zealand Government registers all CRELS member schools under the 1990 Education Amendment Act. All member schools as well as their courses of study have been approved by the New Zealand Government's Qualifications Authority.
