The ELS Vancouver offers a 25 hour / week program to the students. Everyday students start with a "structure practice" class consisting in creating a newspaper and aiming at using grammar, writing and oral skills. That class is followed by a course dealing with Canadian culture, allowing students to understand the country they are visiting while practicing. Students will also have an opportunity to improve their vocabulary and to develop their reading skills for 2 hours, each week, totally devoted to these skills. Finally they will have the opportunity to speak and improve their communications skills in day to day situations.

Students will stay in families carefully selected so as to provide the best reception and a total immersion in Canadian life.  Most families live in North Vancouver area where the school is. Homestay students have a private bedroom. They receive three meals a day (including a packed lunch for school)
