Study abroad in Monteverde

Education Travel for Students and Adults

Monteverde is a small town (about 8000 inhabitants) nested at the heart of the tropical forest, 1400 metres above sea level. Over 10.000 vegetal species grow and live in that humid area of the country. Be prepared to be impressed not only by the diversity of the species that live there but also by their size. An exceptional fauna dwells in the jungle, lizards, turtles, frogs and monkeys are just examples of the animals you will spot during your stay; it is also in that area that you will have the opportunity to see the famous but rare quetzal, an amazing bird with magnificent shimmering feathers. Here the flora and fauna pace the life of the inhabitants. If thousands of animal species settled in that area of the world it is because of a preserved and intact nature, pride of the Costa Rican people.
