Experience School Life in Ireland

Why Choose Our Partner, Educatius?

Educatius stands out from other student exchange companies due to their commitment to quality accommodation and ongoing support for our students. We understand that your living situation is just as important as the school you choose, and international students need extra support while living away from home. Educatius Ireland takes special care in selecting host families for each student in need, and our student liaisons are dedicated to helping students adapt to their new environment and overcome any challenges they may face. Every month, our local staff provides parents with a report based on feedback from the school, host family, and the student. Throughout our history, Educatius Ireland has been committed to supporting high-quality international students. That's why all our staff members are specially trained and have years of experience working with young people from around the world to provide successful secondary school programs.

Where Do Students Live?

Living with an Irish Host Family

Ireland is famous for its friendly hospitality and long-standing tradition of welcoming international students. It's no surprise that Irish host families are among the best in the world. Irish host families can live in cities, countryside, apartments, houses, with or without children, and some have pets while others don't. Our host families come in different shapes and sizes, but they all have one thing in common - they love learning about new cultures and providing international students with an unforgettable family experience in Ireland. Educatius Ireland is dedicated to offering students a truly immersive exchange experience in an Irish home. Students will be placed with English-speaking families, with only 1 or 2 international students in the house. If there are 2 international students in the home, they will be of different nationalities to ensure that students speak English at all times. As a member of a host family, international students will experience life in Ireland. Their host family will introduce them to Irish culture and help them feel comfortable in their new home. They will have a unique opportunity to truly improve their English, experience daily life alongside Irish people, and most importantly, build bonds with a caring family they will likely stay in touch with for the rest of their lives! Studying abroad in the beautiful country of Ireland is a unique opportunity for international students. Renowned for its green hills and vibrant cities like Dublin and Cork, Ireland also offers the world's best hospitality and a fantastic range of high schools. Ireland is the perfect place for curious students to explore a new culture while receiving an excellent education in a public school or one of our private boarding schools, preparing them for top-level higher education in Ireland or abroad. Students from around the world can embark on a Classic, SELECT, or Academic Exchange program and feel at home on the Emerald Isle thanks to the caring and experienced Irish host families from Educatius and our mentoring program.

What Does an Irish Host Family Provide?

Once accepted into a secondary school as part of a Classic, SELECT, or Academic Exchange program, Educatius Ireland will assign you to a host family in your placement area. For getting to school, students can walk, bike, take a school bus, use public transportation, or their host family can provide transportation. In the house, students may have their own room or share with another international student. Each student has their own bed, study space, wardrobe, and personal space. International students share the rest of the house with their host family and will share meal times, social hours, outings, and holidays together throughout their stay. Host families are there to support students and help them settle into their life in Ireland, assisting them with practicing English, making them feel welcome, sharing local cuisine and culture, answering any questions they may have, and providing support when needed or if they become ill.

Ongoing Service and Support

Every Educatius student in Ireland is covered by our Service Promise, so you can be sure that you will receive continuous support from before your arrival until the day you complete your secondary school program. Each student is assigned a student liaison officer who works with the student, host family, and school to guide students and families and act as a liaison to resolve any issues. Our 24/7 hotline is available for students and parents to reach us in case of emergencies.
