The CEL Language School, with its modern and friendly premises, is located in the heart of the city, close to the Horton Plaza shopping center and not far from vibrant neighborhoods such as Gaslamp and Little Italy. With competent teachers, a family-like atmosphere, and responsive staff, this school is highly regarded by students. You will follow an academic English program consisting of 24 lessons of 45 minutes per week, in small groups of up to 12 students. Additional 30 lessons per week are available. During your semester, you will be assessed, tested, and required to achieve an upper intermediate level (B2) at the school or an equivalent test (TOEFL or IELTS) to be eligible for university enrollment in January.
Your second semester takes place on the campus of Grossmont College, in a student neighborhood an hour away from downtown San Diego. Since 1981, the 55-hectare campus has been home to more than 18,000 students. Considered one of the best colleges in the region, the campus is highly involved in the lives and education of its students. It offers a wide range of two-year programs that enable students to transfer to the top universities in California.
The Grossmont campus offers a wide variety of programs in fields such as Sciences, Technologies, Arts, Languages, Health, Sports, and Business. Grossmont Community College provides numerous facilities for its students, including sports fields and a wide range of clubs. Cultural, artistic, and sports events punctuate the year and are an integral part of student life.
