Regensburg - known as Ratisbonne in French - is a small city with a population of 145,000, located in the heart of Bavaria, 130 km north of Munich and 250 km southwest of Prague. It is one of the few cities in Germany that was completely spared during the Second World War, allowing it to preserve a magnificent and fully intact historic quarter. The pedestrian center is filled with "Biergartens," numerous summer terraces, and a beautiful Christmas market in December.
