IELTS is undoubtedly the most popular English language test for accessing higher education or employment in a country where English is the primary language of communication. It allows you to demonstrate advanced proficiency in English, specifically your ability to attend university-level courses in English or work in an English-speaking company.
IELTS assesses your knowledge of language skills that define language mastery, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The speaking component is conducted in a face-to-face session with a certified examiner.
There are two versions of IELTS: Academic and General Training. You choose one or the other based on whether your goal is to pursue studies or obtain a visa for work abroad. IELTS is the only English language test accepted by immigration services in countries where English certification is required.
