Liden & Denz Language School is located in the city center, near Belorussky train station, which receives trains from Warsaw and Berlin. The school is situated on the ground floor of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs building, frequented by international press, foreign diplomats, and representatives of international companies. The school has 10 classrooms equipped with televisions, DVD players, etc. Five workstations with internet access and a free Wi-Fi area are available. The nearest metro station (Belorusskaya) is only a five-minute walk from the language school. Additionally, there are numerous cafes and restaurants in the vicinity where you can dine at reasonable prices.
The school offers two course programs:
Standard courses consist of 20 lessons of 50 minutes each and must be taken for a minimum of two weeks. Classes have about a dozen participants, ensuring high-quality instruction. It is preferable for beginners taking these courses to have knowledge of the Cyrillic alphabet. Beginner-level courses start on specific dates.
Intensive courses consist of 25 lessons of 50 minutes each. The minimum duration is two weeks. These courses are also conducted in classes with around a dozen students. Twenty lessons are shared with participants of the standard courses, and the remaining five lessons, held in the afternoon, are divided into three levels: beginner (learning how to book a table at a restaurant or a theater ticket), elementary (covering various topics such as Russian culture and history), and intermediate (addressing subjects like economy and politics).
Several types of accommodations are available:
Homestay is an interesting way to immerse yourself in Moscow's life. You will have a furnished individual room with a shared bathroom. You can choose between half-board (with full board on weekends) or breakfast-only with your hosts. Your accommodation will be located within a maximum of one hour from the school. If you choose this type of accommodation, it is necessary to arrive on Sunday.
For more independent individuals, there are also shared apartments (usually with two or three bedrooms). You will have your own individual room with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. The apartments are equipped and furnished, including a telephone, television, washing machine, and vacuum cleaner. Arrival is also on Sunday.
Transfer upon arrival is included. However, you will need to arrange your own transfer for the return trip. On your first day at the school, you will take a placement test to determine which group you will be placed in.
Liden & Denz combines intensive instruction with numerous excursions and cultural and social activities throughout the year. Some activities are free, such as city tours for new students or Friday cocktails, while others have a moderate cost. All activities are conducted in Russian to ensure that you make the most of your language study abroad experience. In addition to school activities, you can take a stroll on Red Square and admire the Kremlin and Lenin's Mausoleum, go shopping at GUM, a gigantic shopping center, or even visit the vodka museum. You won't be disappointed!
