The team at CES School welcomes you to a spacious Georgian-style building, typical of the city of Leeds. It is located in a student neighborhood filled with cafes and small restaurants, just a stone's throw away from the city's two universities. In addition to classrooms, CES has a multimedia room with internet access, study rooms, and a lounge area where you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and read the newspapers provided. During the summer, the school accommodates students in various annexes located in the same neighborhood as the main building.
Three course options are offered: Standard English Course (20 lessons of 45 minutes per week), Intensive English Course (30 lessons of 45 minutes per week), and Combined English Course (20 English lessons per week plus 5 individual lessons). Regardless of the course you choose, you will receive a monthly progress report on your English proficiency.
In the Standard Course, classes are held in the mornings from Monday to Friday. Each morning session includes a grammar and syntax component as well as a practical component to enhance your communication skills.
In the Intensive Course, you follow the standard course program and in the afternoons, engage in practical activities such as exercises based on press articles and media.
The Combined Program allows you to add five additional hours to the standard course, specifically tailored to meet your specific objectives. The academic team at the school prepares a personalized program based on an analysis form that you will complete outlining your expectations and needs.
A host family will welcome you during your stay in Leeds. You will enjoy full board, with breakfast and dinner shared with your hosts, as well as a packed lunch to take with you during the day. All host families are either located near the school or close to public transportation. As the school is situated on the main bus route, transportation is always convenient.
