Kaplan Covent Garden School opens its doors each year to foreign students with the aim of facilitating a simpler and faster learning of the English language. Ideally located in a vibrant area of London, housed in a renovated 18th-century hotel, the school is just a stone's throw away from the famous Covent Garden, and various modes of transportation make it easily accessible. A favorite of the AILS network!
With its extensive experience and developed pedagogy, the school offers students the option to customize their course load. There is a standard program that includes around twenty general English lectures per week, and an augmented course that adds seven personalized lessons with the assistance of a tutor to the standard program. The intensive course includes an additional eight sessions on English culture. These additional hours can be combined with long-term study programs that have their own specialized units, such as IELTS preparation.
Once again, students have a choice when it comes to accommodation: studio apartments in residence or homestays.
A zoning system from 1 to 4 has been implemented based on the distance between the place of residence and the school. This determines the allocation of places according to individual preferences and criteria. With a towering twenty-seven floors, Urbanest King's Cross welcomes students from around the world every year. With an average of six rooms per unit, the residences offer all the comforts for a language stay, including private bathrooms, shared kitchenettes, and common living areas.
