Learn English in New York with Kaplan School

The School

Our English school is ideally located near Central Park, just minutes away from Times Square and Rockefeller Center. The Kaplan language school provides access to computers with free internet connection and has 13 classrooms. While the school does not have its own dining facility, the surrounding area is filled with cafes and restaurants to suit all budgets. Additionally, a microwave is available for students' use.

English Courses

To ensure a successful language stay that caters to all participants, the school offers a wide variety of programs:

• General English courses: The standard, standard plus, and intensive programs offer 20, 27, and 35 lessons of 45 minutes per week, respectively. These courses are available for intermediate to advanced levels, with a maximum of 15 students per group.

• Business English Program: This program combines 20 lessons of general English with 8 business English lessons and 7 self-study sessions per week. Each lesson lasts for 45 minutes. It focuses on acquiring vocabulary used in the business sector and communication techniques (presentations, telephone exchanges, etc.) in an intensive format. Participants study in groups of maximum 15 students.

• TOEFL Exam Preparation: The TOEFL preparation program provides access to 20 lessons of intensive exam-focused preparation per week, along with 15 personalized study sessions tailored to individual needs. The courses have a maximum of 15 participants. The cost of books is included, but an additional fee is required for the exam registration.

• Standard Plus or Intensive Semesters or Academic Years: These options allow for a longer stay in the beautiful city of New York and provide an opportunity to deepen your language skills. These programs are not available for beginners.

Accommodations

The school offers different types of accommodations to ensure a comfortable stay:

• Homestay: This option is highly recommended for those who want to experience total immersion during their language stay. Your New York host family can be located either inside or outside Manhattan, according to your preference. You can choose between single or double rooms, with shared bathrooms. You also have the option of selecting either half-board or breakfast only.

• New Yorker Residence: Located in the heart of Manhattan, close to Madison Square and Broadway, this residence offers single or double rooms with private bathrooms, telephone, internet access, and television. Additionally, there is Wi-Fi available in the common area, and a laundry facility is accessible to residents. Meals are not provided, but residents have access to the kitchen to prepare their own meals.

• West Side Residence: Situated in the Upper West Side, an artistic neighborhood with numerous upscale restaurants and cultural sites. Just steps away from Central Park, Columbia University, and an express subway station, it's an ideal location for exploring New York. Private single or double rooms are available, and there is a lounge on-site.

  The residence amenities include free WiFi, 24-hour reception, air conditioning, vending machines, and housekeeping services.
