Accommodation: Accommodation Options for Children and Teenage Language Trips

Language trips for teenagers and children always include full-board accommodation. Different options are available:

Host Families

Holiday Residences

University Campus Residences

Each option has its advantages and disadvantages, and the choice will depend on individual preferences and preferences.

| NOTE | Accommodations are always located within a distance of immediate proximity to 45 minutes from the school and are easily accessible by public transportation. Often, if the transportation time between the accommodation and the school exceeds 15 minutes, the schools may offer a free transportation service (included in the total price of the language trip).

Meals

Junior trips are offered with full-board accommodation, with three meals provided each day.

In some cases, lunch may be provided by the school or by the host family in the form of a packed lunch to take away. It can consist of either a hot or cold meal, depending on the circumstances. For days of excursions organized by the school, a picnic is always provided to the student, either by the school or by the host family, depending on the student's accommodation.

| NOTE | Some schools offer special diets (often at an additional cost): vegetarian, halal, kosher, etc. Please inform your advisor if you require any of these special diets.

Host Family Accommodation

In host family accommodation, young students typically occupy a single or double room in the host's home. In the case of double rooms, schools always try to place students with different native languages together to promote total language immersion.

The host families are selected by the language schools based on various criteria, including the accommodation itself, its environment, its distance to the school, and also psychosocial criteria related to the family, such as its composition, morality, lifestyle, the presence or absence of pets, and the language spoken at home.

Once selected, host families are regularly monitored by the schools to ensure that the conditions continue to be met.

Host family accommodation is particularly suitable for young students who may feel a slight apprehension about traveling alone abroad, perhaps for the first time. With more support and a reassuring family environment, they experience a sense of familiarity. In terms of language immersion, it is also an excellent solution as it requires students to use the language they came to learn through the necessary exchanges of daily life.

Residence Accommodation

During language stays for adolescents, the safety and comfort of the participants are of utmost priority. Organizers offer two types of residences: campus-style rooms located in the same building as the classrooms, or hotel residences located in a different location from the school. Adolescents are under the constant supervision of an experienced supervision team, providing 24/7 presence with regulated access.

The rooms range from individual rooms to shared rooms that can accommodate up to six beds. They are comfortable and well-equipped, depending on the school. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi access, and teenagers have access to recreational areas and sometimes beverage vending machines. Additionally, full board is provided for all junior programs in residences, offering balanced and delicious meals.

By choosing a language stay in a residence, adolescents have the opportunity to meet young people from around the world and make new friends while naturally and casually practicing a foreign language. Organizers ensure that participants feel safe and comfortable throughout their stay, making their experience enriching and unforgettable.

Organizers understand that the safety and well-being of adolescents are the top priority for parents. They are committed to taking care of young participants as if they were their own children. Parents can ask any questions and receive assistance in choosing the program that best suits their child.
