In Cambridge, the quintessential university city, Bell School takes you on an exceptional language stay within the prestigious University, Leys School. During the summer holidays, Bell welcomes teenagers aged 11 to 17 at Leys, who are eager to improve their English language skills while exploring the unique city of Cambridge, its landmarks, and its charming intellectual and festive atmosphere. The school offers two English programs in Cambridge: an intensive language course with the option to choose an academic focus, and a combined stay with English lessons and sports, cultural, or artistic activities. In either case, the students have access to all the sports and leisure facilities spread across 50 hectares of green spaces and nature on the campus.
English classes are held in the morning, and the afternoons are reserved for sports activities, sightseeing, and options.
Young Cambridge Scholars Program
This program is designed for young individuals who wish to experience studying abroad following the British model. Mathematics, English literature, sciences, as well as art and design, will be studied in English. In addition, various skills such as written expression, opinion formulation, note-taking, etc., will be developed. Students will deepen their understanding through theme-based classes offered by speakers from the University of Cambridge. The teachers place significant emphasis on oral communication and understanding different cultures among students from around the world.
English Explorer Program
This program is ideal for those who want to combine English language learning with sports or creative activities and excursions. In addition to English classes, students choose three options for a total of 9 hours per week. Options may include volleyball, basketball, football, art, cooking, photography, dance, English literature, or tennis. Tennis lessons are conducted by qualified professional coaches from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).
Accommodations on campus are separated for boys and girls. The majority of students are housed in double rooms, although single rooms or dormitories may also be available. Bathroom facilities are also separated for girls and boys. Showers and toilets are strategically located throughout the facility. Supervisors are present day and night on-site for the safety of the students. Every evening, they organize a meeting where students have the opportunity to discuss their accomplishments and share their concerns. Beddings are provided, and a weekly laundry service is offered. Bath towels and hairdryers are not provided. Meals are served daily at the school cafeteria. During excursions, students are provided with packed meals. Snacks are available during breaks and the evening meeting.
Cambridge is not only one of the finest representatives of academic excellence in England but also a charming city with numerous monuments, museums, and other tourist attractions to visit. Located an hour north of London, Cambridge remains a city in the southern part of England with a mild and favorable climate during the summer compared to the rest of the country. Highly active throughout the year, visitors also appreciate the numerous cultural and sporting events that take place in the city.
Participants arrive at various airports in London between 10 am and 5 pm on Wednesdays and depart between 10 am and 5 pm on Tuesdays. Transfers from Heathrow or Stansted airports are included. The waiting time for other students sharing the transfer may be up to one hour. Additional costs apply for transfers from other airports, please contact us for more information.
