St Giles Junior English School is located at the University of Brighton during the summer season, providing an ideal setting for learning English. International students can be accommodated on the Varley Park campus, located north of the city. English classes are held at the main St Giles school, situated in downtown Brighton. Each morning, students are accompanied by bus to the class location, and then participate in organized activities and visits in the city center or surrounding areas of Brighton. Finally, the students return to Varley Park campus for dinner. The campus features modern, high-quality facilities and is close to the South Downs National Park.
Students will be accommodated in the university campus residence, offering them individual rooms with private bathrooms. Full board, including breakfast and dinner, will be served on campus, while lunch will be taken in town. Packed lunches or meal vouchers will be provided to students for organized excursions. The campus provides a variety of facilities, such as playgrounds, vending machines, internet connection in each room, and a laundry room. The establishment staff will be available 24/7. Outings will require parental authorization and will depend on the students' age.
The program of this stay aims primarily to improve English language proficiency while allowing students leisure time to explore the local culture. Students will benefit from a comprehensive program including 20 English lessons per week, taught in small groups of up to 15 students, every morning from 9 am to 1 pm. Afternoons will be dedicated to a selection of activities offered to students, such as city exploration, sports activities, and relaxing evenings like bowling, karaoke, or movie screenings. Two full-day and two half-day excursions will be organized, offering students the opportunity to visit London and the Seven Sisters National Park, among other destinations. Students will be accommodated on a university campus and will receive full board, including breakfast and dinner on-site, as well as meals in town during excursions. Campus facilities include playgrounds, vending machines, internet connection in each room, and a laundry room, with staff available 24/7. Outings will only be allowed with parental authorization and depending on the students' age.
A collective shuttle airport transfer is organized from London Heathrow Airport. As the transfer is shared, there may be some waiting time at the airport. Please adhere to the specified days, time slots, and airports mentioned.
Individual transfers will also be available from London Gatwick and Heathrow airports at any time.
