The Humboldt School in Bad Schussenried is located in the heart of a park and a large recreational area, just a 5-minute walk from the city center. The school is very modern and offers various facilities, including well-equipped classrooms, basketball, football, volleyball, and handball courts, an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a climbing wall, a relaxation room with foosball and billiards, a ping-pong table, and a barbecue area. The school provides intensive German programs in small groups of approximately 10 students, taught in modern classrooms. It combines the German program with a wide range of sports, cultural, and creative activities.
Classes are held from Monday to Friday in the morning or afternoon, with the rest of the time dedicated to activities.

Participants have access to a wide range of sports, leisure, and well-being facilities at the school, including an indoor swimming pool, mini-golf, sports fields, climbing wall, and sauna. Several rooms are also available for creative workshops such as silk and glass painting, wood and soapstone carving, as well as a recreational area with foosball, billiards, and ping-pong table.
During weekends, the school organizes excursions to introduce participants to the tourist and natural treasures of the region, as well as nearby cities.
German classes are conducted with 25 lessons per week for ages 10-13 and 30 lessons per week for ages 14-17. Individual lessons are also available upon request (price on demand). In addition to German classes, participants have the opportunity to take preparation courses for the TELC exam, at levels A1, A2, B1, or B2. Language courses are complemented by various sports and artistic activities, as well as cultural visits in the city or excursions to Munich, Constance, or Lindau, for example. Students can engage in manual work in dedicated craft rooms or participate in artistic activities such as glass painting and wood carving. Those preferring more sports-oriented activities can enjoy mountain biking and rally.
Students are accommodated in the boarding school located in one of the modern buildings on the school premises. The double rooms offer a magnificent view of the school park or the city. They are equipped with a bathroom with shower, toilet, and balcony. All meals are included and served at the school cafeteria. The school takes care to assign students to rooms based on their age, native language, and German proficiency level to encourage practice outside of classes.
Bad Schussenried, a historic city in southwestern Germany, is renowned for its rich architectural and cultural heritage, the beauty of its bucolic landscapes, and specialized mud baths for thermal treatments. Situated between the Danube, Iller, and Lake Constance, a stay in Bad Schussenried is a true breath of fresh air and health. There are also ample opportunities for walks and cultural visits in this historic city, which is home to numerous monuments, including a splendid 12th-century abbey and its impressive baroque library.
The school provides a transfer service from and to the airports of Munich, Friedrichshafen, Zurich, and Memmingen at an additional cost. This service is free of charge for students arriving at Bad Schussenried train station.
