Multi-activities, in a region of exceptional natural beauty
Our junior program takes place in Monmouth, a historic town in Wales dating back to Roman times. Monmouth is located in the heart of the Wye Valley, in a region of exceptional natural beauty and close to renowned cities such as Cardiff, Bristol, and Bath. This location is ideal for our summer junior program. The wide range of activities and excursions offered allows young learners to explore Monmouth, its region, and other cities in the UK.
The junior program takes place in a beautiful Welsh school, which is available during the summer for our program. The campus features various facilities such as a cafeteria, accommodation for our participants, common areas where young learners can socialize and enjoy time together outside of classes, sports facilities including a gym and climbing wall, and an indoor swimming pool. The premises are also equipped with free Wi-Fi access.
The language stay includes 15 hours of English lessons per week, 4 activities involving sports, crafts, or cultural activities, 6 evening activities, 2 half-day excursions, and 1 full-day excursion on Saturdays. The English lessons are specifically designed for young learners. During the lessons, they will engage in group discussions and debates on current topics. The program will help them improve their oral and written fluency, expand their vocabulary, refine their grammar, enhance pronunciation, and gain a deeper understanding of Anglo-Saxon culture. Excursions provide opportunities to explore other cities such as London, Bath, Bristol, or Oxford, as well as local sites to learn more about the history and culture of Wales. Sports activities include various options such as football, badminton, basketball, tennis, and swimming. Evening activities include quizzes, games, movies, fashion shows, disco nights, crafts, and treasure hunts.
Young learners will have the opportunity to stay directly on campus in shared rooms (from 2 to 6 people) with shared bathrooms, individual rooms with shared bathrooms, or individual rooms with private bathrooms. Meals will be served in the cafeteria, except during the full-day excursion when packed lunches will be provided. Celtic staff will be available 24/7 in the residence to ensure the well-being of the students.
The school organizes transfers from and to Cardiff and Bristol airports, which are the closest ones, as well as from London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports for an additional fee.
