Intensive English - Options available: Tennis with Gosling (LTA Centre of Excellence), Horseback Riding (Trent Park British Horse Equestrian Centre of Excellence)
English classes take place in the mornings and part of the afternoon. In the evenings, students can focus on their chosen option.
The intensive program consists of 32 lessons taught in classes with a maximum of 10 students of the same age, by highly qualified teachers. All aspects of English learning are covered. The lessons are divided into three parts: firstly, 16 45-minute lessons to reinforce language skills, including weekly tests; 8 lessons in group workshops on topics such as music, theater, filmmaking, and fashion; and 8 practical lessons with activities. Upon arrival, students are assessed to be placed in classes according to their level. At the end of the stay, each participant receives a report and certificate. The staff-to-student ratio is 1:4, ensuring constant supervision. English classes and activities take place throughout the day, and leisure time occurs after dinner, during excursions, or on weekends. On Saturdays, a sightseeing excursion is organized, and on Sundays, participants can either stay on-site to enjoy all the facilities of the center or choose to spend the day at the Harry Potter Studios or Thorpe Park (with an additional fee - to be booked during registration or on-site). Every Saturday evening, an optional evening in London (dinner + musical) is organized (with an additional fee - to be booked during registration or on-site). Participants can choose from the various programs described below:
'Multi-Activities' Program: This program is the perfect combination for students who want to maximize their English learning while enjoying the on-site facilities during free time, engaging in fun and varied evening activities. In addition to classes and outings or activities, students have two included excursions per week, including one with an academic focus.
'Football Pro' Program: This program is ideal for football enthusiasts. In addition to the 'Multi-Activities' program, it includes 8 45-minute coaching sessions with Arsenal club staff instead of evening activities. Accessible for beginners to advanced levels with a minimum of 4 participants.
'Equestrian Pro' Program: For those who want to discover or practice horse riding, it is possible to replace evening activities with 8 45-minute coaching sessions at the Trent Park Centre of Excellence. Accessible with a minimum of 4 participants.
'Tennis Pro' Program: For future tennis champions or those who want to try their hand at tennis, Lines also offers the Tennis option instead of evening activities, with 8 45-minute coaching sessions at the Gosling LTA Centre of Excellence. Accessible with a minimum of 4 participants.
Students are accommodated at Queenswood itself in very comfortable single to quadruple rooms, depending on age, with attached bathrooms. The stays include full board with 3 meals made with quality ingredients. They are served and enjoyed together in the school's dining hall.
